Absolutely! You can keep re-melting your wax melt until they completely lose their fragrance or when you want to change scents.
Curing is an important process to allow the fragrance oil to naturally "spread out" into the wax evenly and provide the best possible scent throw.
Soy wax generally requires 7-10 days cure time. As we hand make our wax melts to each order, we always suggest our customers to store their new wax melts in a cool, dark place for approx. 1-2 weeks to 'cure'.
Don't worry, this is not the wax melts 'going off' or defected in any way. This is what we call wax 'frosting'.
Frosting is a natural effect of using soy wax. The wax is trying to return back to its natural form and as a result it begins to crystallize. Frosting will not affect the performance of the wax melts in any way, and is also an indication that the wax melts are 100% natural!
We focus on our techniques and little details during the process of making your wax melts, which helps massively to minimise frosting being visible!
We complete a quality check process to ensure all orders at point of posting meet our standards. However, as soy wax continues to naturally harden throughout the course of its life, crystal structures/white specks can still form at any time after you receive our products.
We are aware that additives can be introduced to help prevent frosting. However, it is our ethos to deliver the most natural and non-toxic products to you.
We stand by not adding any additives to our products despite knowing soy wax continues to 'harden' throughout the course of its life, meaning crystal structures never stops forming (even if you can't see them).
We do everything we can during the process of making your wax melts to try and minimise this from happening.
Unfortunately, we do not accept returns if frosting becomes visible on your wax melts (although this should be unlikely). We carry out a quality check process for all our products before posting out – during this process, we make sure there are no visible signs of frosting (even though the 'hardening' process is naturally still happening to the wax).
Yes, we use 100% organic soy wax melts. We always include a CLP label with your wax melts so you are aware what ingredients are included in your fragrance/essential oil scents, as some may cause an allergic reaction for some people.
We always suggest using an electric wax warmer. If you do use a tealight wax burner, always burn wax melts within eye sight to prevent any accidents or fire/serious injury. Do not move the burner whilst its lit. Keep away from draughts and always use unscented tealight!
Never leave a wax melt burning or melting unattended. Keep pets and children supervised and away from the wax melts. Always blow out the tealight or switch off your wax warmer once the wax melts have been melted. Be mindful that it may still be hot so always keep your pets and children supervised.
